“Understanding” A Language Of Flowers and Gravity;

through dialogue, process and collaboration

Our fifth and final Workshop KIDSART 2011 has passed and it was a great way to end our adventure of Understanding in our world... We at KIDSART would like to thank all of the parents and of course all the wonderful children!!! This was an awesome summer! And special thanks to artist and perpetual student Sinisa Kukec for opening up his doors to hold the final camp! A job well done!

Sharing dialogue on "Understanding" before the process!

The Fun Begins!

As Kukec wrote in his workshop synopsis! One Consciousness has effect over another Consciousness... and vis versa... Well we would like to say that this certainly took place during each camp, every Saturday morning every studio became very much like field of flowers... constantly dealing with the force, cause and effect of gravity... and each other. We are all unique flowers and our pollen (ideas, beliefs, truths, etc. etc.) effected us all... and so... “Understanding” a language of flowers and gravity was a great success! Kukec goes on to say, every workshop became a metaphor to better understand “Understanding”... it was not a easy task... truly a life time endeavor.

and vis versa...

Kukec briefly explains the cause and effect of gravity painting with epoxy.

The gravity painting begins! The kids did a great job!

Through out the camps the use of dialogue, process... and collaboration. The children made art works alone and together... creating a magical landscape... The art work will be displayed at the KIDSART 2011 SUMMER CAMP exhibition at Legal Art this coming September 8th! Hope to see all of you there!!! One last thing ... please remember that even though our adventure together has come to an end... this is an ongoing experience for all of us... an homage to the life long lesson of “Understanding”.

Gravity painting!!! YAY PAINTING!

YAY GRAVITY!

Latron, Kukec, and Azziji watch gravity do it's magic!

Pachi Giustinian: Understanding as a Common Goal-Paint as 'Object'

KIDSART 2011

Tolerance and Understanding In Our World.

Understanding as a common goal;

Paint as "Object"

Thank you Pachi Giustinian!!! Thank you Legal Art!

Artist Pachi Giustinian did an amazing job with her workshop at Legal Art this past Saturday... the children worked together to better understand the common goal... to paint as “object”. Giustinian’s workshop was truly a non representational abstract approach. And the children did an amazing job working on individual pieces , knowing that they would come together at a latter date.

Leandra, Lucas, Trenard, Lara, Skye, and Kamilla better understanding a finished painting as an object, by Pachi Giustinian

The Artist Pachi Giustinian, joining in on the fun, paint on her hands and tool in her pocket! Giustinian’s workshop was truly a fun filled abstract approach to painting! THANK YOU! WE LOVED IT!

Luka working on his individual piece... while the rest of the gang load up on paint!!! COLOR LOTS OF COLOR!!!

Rose doing an amazing job working on her individual art work! Making every last bit work for her! BRAVA!

The idea was to offer a different approach to painting. and it was! We where amazed that the paint only landed where it was supposed too! well! - Kinda!!! The children worked with paint over a plastic surface, using bright colors inspired by the miami landscape. apparently each individual piece is still drying... Giustinian will be joining them together, as soon as the paint is dry... thus forming the common goal, paint as object, a patchwork of individual artworks creating a single united image... The art work will be displayed at the KIDSART 2011 SUMMER CAMP exhibition at Legal Arts this coming September.

Chloe using bright colors inspired by the miami landscape!!!

Azziji really enjoying the different approach to painting! YAY PAINTING!!!

The children did an amazing job! We where amazed that the paint only landed where it was supposed too! well! - Kinda!!! GREAT JOB KIDS!

Mateo exploring his personal creativity! Well done little guy!!!

The Colors of a “community”, revealing all the beauty and awe of our Magic City.

Skye is dancing while painting with the bright colors!!! Too Cute!

Lara did an amazing job working on her individual piece!!! BRAVA!!!

Chloe seeing all the beauty and awe of our Magic City.

Leandra... HELLO!!! abstract approach to painting! Too much fun!

Daisy was a trooper! The last to be working the paint over the plastic surface, using the bright colors! What an inspiration!

Super Latron!

Pachi Giustinian’s camp was a great success... the camp encouraged the children to explore their own personal creativity, while coming together to create a grand image inspired by the colors of a “community”, revealing all the beauty and awe of our Magic City!

And then it was time to feed the other hunger. The kids patiently lined up for their 'Mac 'n Food treats...

Thank you Mac and Food!!! Thank you Francesca Lacuesta for your generous donation!!! KIDSART 2011 LOVES YOU!
